What a time to be alive, huh? Right about now, all of us from the Rocks Off Team thought we would be hanging out on boats with y'all and experiencing some killer shows and vibes and letting the evening river breezes lift our collective spirits and souls. Being a small independent promoter in NYC has always been a challenge. But one we relished. We were quite happy with our little aquatic corner of the concert landscape. And the freedom it allowed us to pursue other dreams in the winter time. And put on wacky outfits and wacky shows and bus trips and asking tours and generally act like maniacs with little oversight from any sort of corporate mommy or daddy.
But man, It sure would be nice to have a big budget backer right now telling us everything was gonna be alright. But, as Kenny Rogers taught us, you gotta know when to fold em. And we aren't about to walk away OR run. We aren't going anywhere. We are playing the hand we've been dealt.
Since it looks like we are going to be need to wear masks in plenty of different places, in one form or another, for the foreseeable future, we've partnered with Threadless to produce a line of cool and comfy face coverings that let your inner Unicorn shine. We know you don't NEED one of these. You can use a bandana and a hair tie. or a plain black mask from Target or Walmart. But what fun would THAT be? Here's to hoping you're craving something different. And that you're down to buy one from a lovable crew of kooky kids who were dumb enough to think that all they needed in life was rock n roll, a dream, and a boat company silly enough to let us commandeer their vessels every summer.
We've managed to make a living doing this for 19 years. And we're hoping that you'll choose to help us make it though at least one more summer. In Style, nonetheless. We have over 200 designs available in our store and are coming up with more every day.
